Terms of service

These terms cover your use of BuildLeads, run by Naema Baskanderi in Ontario, Canada. By using the site or subscribing, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

What you get

BuildLeads turns building permits published by Ontario cities into leads for trades. Free visitors see recent permits by neighbourhood. Members get full addresses, builder names where the city publishes them, timing for their trade, saved leads, exports and email alerts.

Membership and billing

• Membership is $99 CAD per month, plus any applicable tax, billed in advance through Stripe.
• It renews automatically each month until you cancel.
• You can cancel any time from your account. You keep access until the end of the month you paid for.
• We may change the price with at least 30 days’ notice by email. The new price applies from your next renewal.

The 30-day guarantee

If you don’t land a job from our leads in your first 30 days as a paying member, email hello@buildleads.ca from your account email within 45 days of your first payment and we’ll refund your first month in full. No proof needed. The guarantee covers your first month once per business; after that, payments aren’t refundable, but you can cancel any time.

About the data

• Permit details come from city open data. We don’t control when cities publish, and their records can be late, incomplete or wrong.
• Trade tags and “Ready now” timing are automatic estimates. They help you prioritise; they aren’t a promise that a homeowner needs your service.
• We don’t guarantee any number of leads, jobs or revenue, except the refund above.
• Each city’s data is used under that city’s published open data terms where one exists.

How you can use the leads

• Use them to find and win work for your own business.
• Don’t resell, republish or share your account or exports with other businesses.
• When you contact homeowners — by mail, door knocking, phone or email — follow the law, including Canada’s anti-spam law (CASL), the National Do Not Call List rules, and your city’s by-laws. You’re responsible for your own outreach.
• Don’t scrape the site or try to get around the free/member limits.

Your account

Keep access to your email account secure — sign-in links are sent there. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, and refund any unused time if we do so without cause.

Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, BuildLeads isn’t liable for lost profits or indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; we’ll change the date above and email members about significant changes. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and Canada.
